Kirkby Stephen Grammar School
Kirkby Stephen Grammar school required a web site that was easy to navigate, allowing visitors to find the information they were looking for quickly and efficiently. The school would also be looking after the web site themselves, so it needed to have an easy to use, intuitive content management system. The design of the site also had to complement the school's new prospectus; with a contempory and clean theme.
We asked Simon from The Design Monster to design the website, having already designed the school's prospectus we knew he would do a good job of designing the website to continue the theme.
The structure of the site is split into four main user groups; pupils, parents, staff and governors, with a distinct area for each group:
- Pupils can view their view their homework timetable, keep an eye out for upcoming events and sports fixtures and log onto Moodle, their online e-learning resource.
- Parents can use the site to view schools letters and recent news, and are kept informed of important dates, such as parents evenings.
- Staff have their own area too, and school governors are able to log in to view upcoming committee meetings.
The website has received numerous positive comments from staff, pupils and other visitors and the school are really pleased with the end result.
